Summer is almost here! Temperatures are rising and the days are getting long with the sun setting well past 9 o’clock. For some of us–dealing with what to do with kids who insist that they absolutely need to stay up past their bedtime because there’s not even a remote chance they’d be able to get a wink of sleep what with smells of grass and sounds of sprinklers beckoning from outside their windows. And oh, can I have one more Popsicle? Pleeeeeeeeease? But Ella’s mom down the street lets her stay up until midnight during the summer and she can eat all the popsicles she wants–oh and ice cream too!
For those times, we have the Sounds of Summer Concert Series at University Village presented by UW Medicine and sponsored by Bob Byers Volvo of Seattle, The Ram Restaurant and Brewery and STAR 101.5.
Beginning July 8 through August 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Seattleites can enjoy a series of FREE concerts–live music from a mix of local favorites and well-known while they shop, eat and enjoy those summer evenings–with or without kids.
In addition to the sweet, sweet sounds, concert-goers can look forward to gourmet bites from University Village restaurants, the lively beer garden and fun activities in the kid’s play area.
