One of the Eastside’s best brunches.
Pomegranate Bistro in Redmond features a modern mix of Pacific Northwest cuisine and comfort food inspired by Lisa Dupar’s Southern upbringing and classical French training. The brunch menu features brunch classics, including eggs benedict, a breakfast plate, sandwiches and doughnuts. It also includes oatcakes, firebreads, and southern staples like chicken & waffles and biscuits and gravy. Their brunch is very popular, so wake up early and get there early (before 11:00 am), or expect a wait.

We started our brunch by toasting Mimosas that come with orange, grapefruit, pomegranate, or tangerine juice. My favorite was the grapefruit followed by the tangerine. These melt-in-your-mouth Savannah Hot Puffs rolled in cinnamon sugar were light, fluffy, and made-to-order. Get an order for the table to share.
Bistro Benedict with smoked ham, poached eggs, and hollandaise on toasted scallion-cheddar biscuits. Both the ham and the biscuits are made in-house and they make a winning benedict with runny eggs and a rich hollandaise. I rarely order salads at restaurants, but this one is worth asking for.
Hot Sausage and Peppers Firebread with cheese, scrambled eggs, peppers, onions, pico de gallo, and jalapeños is breakfast pizza perfection. The scrambled eggs are fluffy, creamy, and soft complemented by the spicy vegetables on a crisp flatbread made in-house. Low Country Shrimp & Grits with scrambled eggs, peppers, onions & toast. Most of the grits I have had were nothing special, but these were spectacular. Easily the best I’ve ever had. It’s a must order.


Service—as always—was wonderful. Our server Kelly was sweet, attentive, and helpful. The atmosphere is upbeat during the day and the bakery is open so you can watch the bakers making all the desserts and breads for the restaurant, cafe, and catering orders.

- Order a Mimosa or the Arroz Tostado (if you’re a fan of horchata and need a caffeine kick)
- Get the Savannah Hot Puffs and a Flatbread to share
- Order the Shrimp & Grits
