Culture Dose: The Triple Door

Empty Houses by Rina Movsisyan

Empty Houses with Good Old War (& other not-to-be-missed shows).

It’s always music season in this town, but when summertime arrives, we really crank it up a notch. After catching all kinds of good (free!) tunes at the Fremont Solstice events this weekend, we recommend you head to The Triple Door on Tuesday, June 21, to hear two amazing acts—Empty Houses and Good Old War—from the comfort of one of Seattle’s best-loved (and most laid-back) venues.

During Empty Houses’ first-ever tour , the Detroit-based band hits the road in support of its debut record “Daydream” (released last week via Sargent House). Produced by four-time Grammy Award-winner Graham Marsh (Bruno Mars, Common), the album mixes the band’s Detroit roots and pop sensibilities. Empty Houses tours with beloved Philly indie group Good Old War, who promise to bring an intimate, acoustic performance to one of Seattle music lovers’ favorite spaces.

Purchase tickets here, and keep your eye on other upcoming STG shows like the Augustines (July 30), Wolf Parade (August 7 & 8) and Lord Huron and Trampled by Turtles (August 19), to name only a few. It’s time to fill this summer with sweet music memories.
