Ballard beer lovers (and those soon-to-be), this one’s for you! The third annual Ballard Beer Awards returned to Ray’s Café on Monday, April 16th. This friendly neighborhood competition runs until Friday, May 11th, and will feature beer from Stoup Brewing, Reuben’s Brews, Lucky Envelope Brewing, and Maritime Pacific Brewing.

Here’s how it works: throughout the four week contest, Ray’s Café will feature one beer on tap from each of the participating Ballard breweries. For every purchase of one of these beers (any size on Ray’s Café menu), that brewery will get one vote.

In addition, every Wednesday during the contest, a different brewery will host a happy hour from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm in the Café. Come chat with the brewers and learn more about their favorite Ballard beers! Here’s the happy hour lineup:

Wednesday, April 18 – Reuben’s Brews

Wednesday, April 25 – Stoup Brewing

Wednesday, May 2 – Maritime Pacific Brewing

Wednesday, May 9 – Lucky Envelope Brewing

On Monday, May 14th Ray’s will tally up the votes and the winning brewery will receive a dedicated tap in the Café for one year!
