In 1996, El Gaucho opened with a vision of fine dining from a bygone era with old-school tableside service for people celebrating their lives. Twenty years later, the family-run company has grown to five restaurants throughout the Pacific Northwest and a boutique inn. To mark the occasion, a company-wide celebration with promotions and events will run through December 2016.

Lift your spirits with Sway: A Game of Debate & Silver Linings.

Chef-driven menu, sustainable fish, and organic produce.

Joining a growing number of Seattle area poké establishments, Wanderfish Poké opened Monday, with a slightly different point of view. Located in Capitol Hill, across from Seattle Central College, offers an expanded, modern take on the classic Hawaiian raw fish over rice dish including: extensive options to customize, the use of sustainable and wild caught fish, locally grown produce and scratch-made ingredients.

One of Seattle’s most iconic vegetarian restaurants, Cafe Flora, is turning 25 in October. Located in Madison Valley, Cafe Flora began as a pioneer in local farm-to-table vegetarian dining in 1991. They worked closely with small farms before it was common practice among restaurants. Since then they have been recognized nationally for their award-winning, creative vegetarian dishes in Bon Appetit, The Food Network, Vegetarian Times, Travel + Leisure and more.

Fall is coming, do you feel it? The kids are back to school, the leaves are starting to turn yellow, red, and orange, and pumpkin-mania has started. Thankfully, if the weather report is correct, we have at least another week of sunny 70s+ weather! Seattleite staff writers have attended all these events in past years and highly recommend them. Here’s a list of some fun things going on in Seattle this weekend.
