Food Porn: Damn the Weather

Nearly 9 months out of  the year, the name is quite fitting for Seattle.

In this edition of Food Porn, we feature Damn the Weather, a beautiful establishment with dark wooden floors, high ceilings, and lofty arches. Not for the faint at heart, throw calorie-counting out the door before you step inside. Damn the Weather creates elevated comfort food that is bold, adventurous, and flavorful. The atmosphere is quintessential Pioneer Square. It has the classic industrial and historic feel with a classiness fit for the well-dress and well-layered Seattle patrons.

Chicken Fat Fries with fennel pollen and lemon are the fries that dreams are made of. They have crisp edges, but are soft in the middle. If you like your fries extra crispy, these are not for you. Sweet Potato Dumplings with brown butter, sage, pecorino, are light, flavorful, and comforting. Salt & Pepper Chicken Skins with peanuts, chili, and lime is arguably taking the the best part of the chicken, deep frying it, and covering it with tangy spice.

Grassfed Beef Burger comes in two sizes and an option to add a fried egg. The fried egg is never an option, always an answer. While the bacon could be more crispy, in combination with the swiss cheese, crimini mushrooms, and sourdough bun, this burger hits the spot.
