The lineup was announced tonight at a free party at the Showbox Market. Bumbershoot tickets go on sale Friday at 10! The festival will be held Friday through Sunday of Labor Day Weekend instead of Saturday through Monday in past years. Local favorites Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Death Cab for Cutie will headline the weekend. There is a fair bit of EDM this year: Kygo, Pretty Lights, DJ Snake, Porter Robinson, Zed’s Dead, and Zhu.

Sami Sweeney, owner of Pure Barre fitness studios in Bellevue, Capitol Hill, Green Lake, Queen Anne and Redmond is reopening her first Seattle Pure Barre location today at a new location in Seattle’s University District. Pure Barre will open at 4552 11th Avenue N.E., Seattle, 98105, in the Bridges@11th apartment building with a regular class schedule starting today.

Ian’s Pizza on the Hill opened last fall and offers pizza by the slice, whole pies, delivery, and beer and wine. Located in Zpizza’s old location on Broadway, this smaller chain or “pizza collective” from Madison, Wisconsin is taking familiar ingredients—not commonly used as toppings—and creating new and delicious pizzas. They also offer gluten-free and vegan options.
On Saturday, April 23, Seattle Milk Fund will host its annual Benefit Dinner & Live Auction at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center in the heart of Downtown Seattle’s Waterfront. In addition to a new venue, the 2016 event will unveil a new theme. Seattle Milk FUNd, will be a festive fête with a larger live auction and carnival-inspired games. I’ve been eating my way around Seattle and these are my favorites right now. Bar Melusine in Capitol Hill, Girin in Pioneer Square, and Salare in Ravenna need to be at the top of your restaurant list. They opened within the last year and they are doing things right. Each offers a different cuisine, and all of them have tasty, flavorful food, wonderful service, and a beautiful space.
