Winter beer season has officially begun and beer fans around the world rejoice. Seattle-born Elysian Brewery recently dropped their winter seasonal Bifrost, a delicious winter pale ale a little different from the holiday ales you are used to. While many winter brews are quite dark with spicy notes, Bifrost is lighter bodied and has some citrus notes along with spice and caramel apples. It is an incredibly drinkable winter ale, especially for its 8.3% ABV.
Given their close proximity, their shared culture, and their high-tech, eco-friendly outlook, it would seem to be a natural idea for Seattle and Vancouver to further integrate their economies and create a single Cascadia Innovation Corridor. Microsoft called it “an idea whose time has come,” yet numerous barriers still stand in the way of this vision.
The 5th Annual Bad Santa event is taking place this Saturday, December 3rd from 8:30 pm – 11:00 pm. Celebrating its fifth anniversary, Bon Appétit Presents FeastPortland 2016 welcomed a record 16,286 festival attendees, and raised $70,021 for Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon to help fight childhood hunger in Oregon. Our second trip to down to Feast was wonderful and delicious and we look forward to going next year. Schedule and line-up for the 2017 event will be announced in May and the festival will be September 14th – 17th.

A new luxurious dining experience is coming to Seattle.
Located in downtown on the corner of 7th and Olive, CIRCADIA opens on November 19th and will provide guests with refined dining and personalized, seamless high-end hospitable service. Owners Jeanie Inglis and her husband Jake Kosseff “believe guests should not pay twice for great service”. Therefore, they will not accept tips or offer a service charge to their guests.
