Situated centrally to all downtown Seattle has to offer, the Crowne Plaza Hotel is an ideal home base for the modern traveler.
Cha:n Seattle
Chefs Mutsuko Soma of Kamonegi and Chef Heong Soon Park of Chan Seattle swap cuisines for one night to create a menu celebrating two Asian cuisines that have inspired chefs across the globe. The menu will feature Korean-Japanese dishes, Soma to implement Korean touches on each dish, likewise Park for Japanese, and Soma’s signature soba with a Korean flair.
Modern Korean fusion at Pike Place Market.
In this edition of Food Porn, we visited Chan Seattle in the Market, featuring a twist on traditional Korean cuisine. We’ve stopped in for happy hour before a show several times, but hadn’t had the chance to experience the full dinner menu. From ahi tuna and painted hills tenderloin to seafood pancakes, deep fried oysters, and kimchi pork belly, it’s an elevated Korean food experience.
Pike Place corridor’s newest Far East addition.
Tucked just around the corner from Post Alley on Stewart, Cha:n Restaurant sits sleek and unassuming, waiting for the chance to open your eyes to the world of Korean cuisine. I think of the menu as comfort Korean, with many small but filling bites, just right for sharing.
