In 1996, the SuperSonics reached the NBA Finals, Nirvana released “From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah,” and Elysian Brewing Company poured its first beer in Seattle’s Capitol Hill. A lot has changed since, but the beer is still flowing from Elysian, 20 years later. To celebrate, Elysian is throwing a rager on Saturday, June 11, complete with plenty of beer from Elysian and friends, food trucks, art, live entertainment, special appearances and much more. The lineup was announced tonight at a free party at the Showbox Market. Bumbershoot tickets go on sale Friday at 10! The festival will be held Friday through Sunday of Labor Day Weekend instead of Saturday through Monday in past years. Local favorites Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Death Cab for Cutie will headline the weekend. There is a fair bit of EDM this year: Kygo, Pretty Lights, DJ Snake, Porter Robinson, Zed’s Dead, and Zhu.

Treefort Music Festival just passed, Sasquatch is coming up at The Gorge next month, Capitol Hill Block Party just announced its lineup for July, and Bumbershoot tickets are on sale! The early bird sale is almost over, so make sure to get your tickets before prices go up! This year, the event will be held Friday through Sunday of Labor Day Weekend instead of Saturday through Monday in past years. This is an awesome shift so we will have Sunday to rest and recover before heading back to work/school on Tuesday!

Seattle Shorts Film Festival returns for the fifth year with twice the number of exceptional films to showcase for local and visiting audiences. After record breaking submissions, filmmaker attendance, and sold out screenings last year, the festival has expanded to two days, November 14th and 15th. The weekend will be bring film lovers together through Q&A’s, networking events, and an awards ceremony on Sunday the 15th.
