Heartwood Provisions, a Contemporary American restaurant constructed around an intricate pairing program, announced today that it opens today at First and Spring in the heart of downtown Seattle. Chef Varin Keokitvon and Beverage Director Amanda Reed will feature a menu designed primarily to work in pairs. Original beverages have been created to enhance the food, which in its turn serves to embellish the drinks.

Bell + Whete Gastropub + Events is showcasing local chef talent via five upcoming chef pop up dinners, beginning tonight, in collaboration with Bell + Whete Executive Chef Jenny Izaguirre. This American gastropub opened in October and is located in the heart of Ballard. Bramling Cross offers over 50 bottled beers and ciders and 8 draught selections that are always local, some from down the street. We came for brunch on a chilly Saturday morning, about 15 minutes after they opened. No reservations were needed at 10:15 am, but by 11:30 am, it had started to fill up.
Local 360 Café & Bar in Belltown is kicking off the year with a Local Distiller Night series. Starting this Thursday they will feature a local distiller on the second Thursday of every month for guests to sample product and get to know the folks behind the spirits. The event is free and you can drop in anytime between 4:00 to 10:00 pm (Happy Hour specials run 4:00 to 6:00pm).
