Who doesn’t love a good baked potato? They remind me of childhood, but I haven’t had one in years. Off the top of my head, I’d be hard-pressed to name a restaurant that serves baked potatoes. It’s probably a safe bet to guess a steak house? Upon hearing about Papas Hot Potatoes, my love for baked potatoes was rekindled and we quickly made plans within the week to check it out.

There is a sense of celebration in the air, with Christmas around the corner. The most festive (and delicious!) time of the year is almost here. Coltiva pizzeria e barra celebrated its grand opening in Seattle on November 8th, and the restaurant is well on its way to establishing itself as the neighborhood spot for pizza in Lower Queen Anne.
Seattle-based restaurant group, Weimann/Maclise Family of Restaurants, is opening Seaplane Kitchen & Bar in the heart of Kenmore on Monday, November 12th. The neighborhood restaurant will feature a Northwest-inspired menu centered around stone hearth pizzas, shareable roasted vegetables, and product from Northwest fisheries, farms, breweries and wineries.

The 14th Annual Great Pumpkin Beer Festival (GPBF) is quickly becoming one of the first signs of the fall season for many Seattleites. Supported by Elysian Brewing and hosted at the Seattle Center, this two-day pumpkin-packed event quickly sold out, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
Returning to the creative spirit the craft brewery was born out of, Redhook is teaming up with local movement Seattle Made for Seattle Made Week. This year’s celebration runs October 5-13, 2018 and features five events.
Fairmont Olympic and Sun Liquor Unveil New Olympic Honey Vodka
The Fairmont Olympic hosted their annual Bee Olympic Celebration, which began on the rooftop with a honey bee introduction from master beekeeper and Executive Chef Paul Shewchuk. We knew we were in for a special night when an intimate group of us gathered in the typically off-limits rooftop space to learn about how Chef Shewchuk and his team are incorporating this honey into the food, drinks and desserts they create.
Feast Portland 2018 welcomed 20,373 total attendees last weekend (September 13-16)! More than 120 local and visiting chefs participated, as well as wineries, breweries, distilleries, cider makers, artisans and more, in over 40 different delicious events during the four-day festival.
